At Farberware, we proudly trace our roots back to that basement shop on Manhattan's Lower East Side where tinsmith S.W. Farber made his first tin, brass and copper bowls and vases. His earliest houseware products were cherished for their utility, beauty, and durability, and as times evolved, so did Farber. Modern appliances entered the picture in 1930 with the first Farberware coffee percolator, thus beginning a tradition of innovation, quality and value that continues to this day. In 1937, Farber introduced his "Coffee Robot" a device that kept coffee warm for hours after brewing. This was followed a year later by his "Broiler Robot." In 1954, Farber introduced a stainless steel electric fry pan with an aluminum-clad bottom and removable probe that gave home cooks the ability to immerse the appliance in water for easy cleaning. The "Open Hearth" smokeless broiler with an innovative heating element below rather than above the food, was "born" in 1962.
Through the second half of the twentieth century, Farberware continued to make cookware, bakeware and kitchenware products with the innovation, craft and care used from the beginning. We make our Farberware pots, pans, bakeware, teakettles and percolators expressly for the kitchens and home cooks of today and tomorrow. So cleanup is simpler than ever, we make cookware that's dishwasher safe, and we make cookware that's suitable for all stovetops. We make cookware with a range of colors and style details, so your kitchen looks as good as what's cooking, and nonstick that's PFOA free, so you cook only with the ingredients you want. We make nonstick bakeware made to bake beautifully whether you bake from scratch or not. And yes, we still make Farberware teakettles and percolators that deliver the simple stovetop style, ease and efficiency as our first ones.
Durability, design, innovation, integrity and value: these attributes and the Farberware brand have been synonymous for more than 100 years. And like the Farberware past and present, our future holds even greater promise. We're exploring design innovations like hybrid ceramic nonstick and cookware technologies designed to make everyday cooking even easier. We're working on the development of new features engineered for ease and convenience because that's not merely our tradition it's yours. We'll keep looking for ways to make your kitchen and home look and cook great. Because the best part of our story has always been you, and everything you cook, bake, enjoy, and share with the help of our products. With us. With Farberware.
